Welcome to A Well-Lit Corner, a new blog from Illumination Arts Publishing. My name is Kelsey Maloney, and I'll be your host. In the coming months, you can look forward to a variety of topics, including: Book of the Week, interviews with our authors and illustrators, children's book news, sneak peeks of our upcoming books, and even some glimpses into what life is like here at Illumination Arts.

For those of you who are already fans of our beautiful inspirational children's books, this will be a great opportunity for you to learn more about the books you and your kids love. For those of you who have yet to crack open one of these award-winning titles--what are you waiting for?! Just kidding. Mostly.

Now that you know a bit about how this blog will work, let me tell you about myself. I'm a recent graduate of Whitman College, with a BA in English. I've been working full-time for Illumination Arts since October 2007, but I've been with the company for a bit longer than that. In 2006, I interned as a Publisher's Assistant for the summer, and they haven't really managed to shake me since then. My current job titles are Assistant Editor, Promotions Designer, and Webmaster--and that doesn't even cover the half of what I do! But the job is fantastic and I'm excited to have the chance to help you all get to know Illumination Arts and our books.
