Affectionately crafting each doll, the Doll Lady derives great joy from giving her dolls to children. They come in all sizes, shapes, and colors—and each is a special creation, unlike any other. “The beauty is in their differences,” she tells children. “Dolls are just like people. They must be loved and respected for their uniqueness.”

Inspired by her aunt and her own love of dolls, H. Elizabeth Collins-Varni presents a heartwarming story about the lasting impact dolls have on children’s lives and about the value of individuality and diversity. Complete with a delightful paper doll designed by illustrator Judy Kuusisto, The Doll Lady teaches children to treat dolls as well as other people with respect, inspiring the compassion needed to lead kind, caring lives.

An affirming reminder to children and a rejuvenating inspiration to adults, The Doll Lady’s gifts will last a lifetime.
